Hello there. I'm Larry Wright, Curious Person and curator of this site.
I'm a thirty-something inhabitant of the bustling metropolis of Normal, Illinois. Husband of one wife, father of three great kids. By day, I manage software teams and projects, do product management, and a host of other things. In my spare time, I feed my curiousity with a steady stream of books, writing, and programming projects. I'm fluent in a handful of programming languages including Ruby and Python, and have a working knowledge of a number of others, like Java, C#, Visual Basic, Perl, and C/C++.
This site is a curated collection of my interests. I write about a variety of topics, including programming, management, Macs, technology, and generally whatever might have my attention at the moment.
This site is powered by Gutenberg, a CMS that I wrote specifically to run this site (and perhaps another down the road). It's written in Ruby on Rails, and the database behind it is presently sqlite. I use Disqus for comments.
Gutenberg was initially developed over several months on my MacBook Pro. All text is edited in Emacs
